Papa John’s pizza deal causes problems around Cleveland

Papa Johns arrestsI was hoping to get off the Papa John’s 23 cent pizza topic but now it is the buzz all over town.

There are reports of 3 hour waits, stores not answering their phones, thousands of people in line, line jumpers, fights, arrests, traffic jams, stores running out of ingredients, angry people, more fights, police, and just overall chaos.

People, please, stop and take a breath and remember one thing: IT’S JUST PIZZA!

It’s not like the banks are giving out hundred dollar bills or anything. It’s just cheap pizza, and not very good pizza at that. If I had to rate all the pizza’s I’ve had in my life, Papa John’s would be near the bottom.

So why is it that when there is an incredible deal people turn into ruthless savages and will give up all semblance of humanity for a 23 cent pizza, or a nickel beer, or anything cheap for that matter. I just truly don’t understand it. I would love for someone who is an expert in the study of human behavior to give me some insight into how these things happen.

Oh well, this just better not interfere with my commute home.
